My plum crumble muffins sold like hot..uhm..like hot plum crumble muffins :-).
And I was asked if it is possible to add marzipan to the crumble. You bet!
Here is a variation of the plum crumble and this time the leading role is played bei Mrs.Pear who covers herself with marzipan crumble. Delicious! 🙂
For 12 muffins:
250 g (9 oz) flour
2,5 tsp baking powder
125 g (4,5 oz) sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
250 g (8 oz) yoghurt
80 ml (3/8 cup) vegetable oil
350 g (12 oz) plums
for the marzipan crumble:
150 g (5 oz) flour
100 g (3,5 oz) butter
100g (3,5 oz) sugar
100g (3,5 oz) marzipan
1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 Tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to about 375° Fahrenheit.
Mix flour with bakingpowder and sift it. Peel the pears and cut them into pieces.
Mix sugar and the egg together, then add vanilla extract, oil and joghurt.
Now carefully mix in the sifted flour/bakingpowder and the pears.
For the crumble, put the flour in a mixing bowl together with the rest of the crumble ingredients. Whisk all the ingredients together.
Fill the muffin-mixture into muffin moulds or a greased muffin pan and spread the crumble on top.
Bake them for about 25-30 min in the preheated oven until they are goldbrown.
