Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies, and although you can buy them on every corner, I still love to make my own versions.
They are super easy, delicious and you can create your favorite cookies just by adding your favorite chocolate or nuts or M&Ms or crumbled Oreo Cookies or whatever you like.
This recipe is one of my favorite from-scratch-recipes. When I was living in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1998/99 as an exchange student I got to know lots of great new recipes. And this is one of them I wrote down and have used ever since.

For ca 40 cookies:
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 tsp.vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 Pck.chocolate chips, or chocolate chunks, nuts, M&Ms, dried fruit or whatever you like best
Preheat oven to 375°F and mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Mix in baking soda, flour and salt until well blended.
Now add the chocolate chips.

Drop the dough on a cookie sheet, 2 ” apart, and bake them for about 10-12 minutes or until light browned.
