There is no christmas without vanilla crescents, right?
At least in Europe it seems to be one of the most favorite type of cookies during the christmas time.
I tried many different recipes and often I was disappointed by the outcome. But this time I`m really satisfied with my tender delicious vanilla crescents, so I want to share this great recipe with you.
Ingredients:
280 gr (~9,8-10 oz.) flour
90 gr (3 oz.) icing sugar
200 gr (7 oz.) soft butter
1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
+ icing sugar to dust the baked cookies at the end.
Mix all the ingredients together and seperate the dough into 4 parts and let them rest (wrapped in plastic wrap) in the fridge over night.

On the next day cut these rolls into 1/3 inch pieces.
Put them on a baking sheet (which is covered with wax paper) and bake the vanilla crescents for about 10-12 minutes at 350°F.
After taking them out of the oven dust them with icing sugar.
Enjoy! 🙂
